Touch screen Keyboard clicks suddenly went very soft

I have this new strange problem in my DVP 5130 . I used to have a fairly loud keyboard stroke clicks as I type. Suddenly this afternoon , the keyboard clicks went very soft as I type. Is there a setting to increase the loudness of the clicks back to normal ? thanks

By any chance, did you recently apply Windows 8.1 Update 1 recently? Microsoft decided to lower keyboard volume with it, seemingly having received requests to do so--of course, now many want it back to what it was before (or hey, even better: have a low-medium-high option!).

Yes I did . Several were auto installed a few days ago. My last 3 win8.1 updates were KB2919355, KLB2956575 and KB2965056 Which update contains the lowered volume clicks? I do miss the louder click , now it's too soft especially in noisy environments like airplanes ! I agree they should have made a low/medium/high option.

You can do a search engine search for which of the updates is the infamous Update 1, but it seems to me we're pretty much stuck with the change, for now--you really can't afford to lose the Update 1 over this (smaller) issue (and my understanding is that Microsoft requires the Update 1, to get future updates and patches).
