Supporting languages of Venue Pro 8

Hi, 

I am fancy to buy Dell Venue pro 8 , but there a one question I want to know.

Since my native language is Sinhala, I want to know whether Dell Venue pro 8 support sinhala or not. 

I know windows does support sinhala in Desktop version, but I am not sure in 8.1 tablet version.

This is an example sinhala site if someone want to check, www.boondi.lk

If someone can help me on this is really appreciated

Hi Sankharan,

Dell Venue 8 Pro comes with Windows 8.1 Pro 32bit. If the software(you are referring to) works on your desktop computer with Windows 8.1 OS, it should work with the tablet as well(as far as it does not have a requirement of a 64 bit OS only).

Hi Manshu, Thanks a lot for your reply and it is appreciated. Can I clarify a another doubt I got If you don't mind? I understood that Venue pro support external keyboard, so is it support sinhala keyboard ? Again in Desktop windows it does , but just wondering in this version.

Hi Manshu,

I meant software wise does it support to sinhala keyboard . We don't use separate keyboard for sinhala language, but need to change the language from the language bar. There is a additional software need to downloaded from Microsoft (In here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/language-packs#lptabs=win8)

i just want to know whether this software support or not Which is made for 8.1

Hi Sankharan,

It does support USB keyboard using an OTG cable however, Sinhala keyboard has not been tried specifically.
