New Venue 11 Pro, issue?
This post has 2 parts, one question and one problem: (core i5 processor 4gb, 128 gb drive)
First, the question, is the Venue 11 pro up-gradable to Windows 8.1 Pro via the propack?
Second, I have been having an issue where when the device goes to sleep, either when I push the power button when I'm done using or screen turns off by itself, it won't turn back on. I have to press and hold the power button until it powers down then turn it back on again.

Easy as pie, just turn off the "Enable Adaptive Brightness" in the Display section of the Power Plan. You can also find the keyboard brighten and dim keys on the F11, F12 keys.

I believe those issues are quite common and affect many of us.
I have been intensely studying these issues for the past two weeks 18/7. I would normally charge $250 per hours for this type of analysis but since I also own a 7130 vpro i5 8/256 I consider it a personal quest to resolve them. Also I am retired which give me the time to dedicate to my quest.
I have discovered a few issues that I believe can help.
After hearing the fans start roaring at 3AM while the tablet was sleeping I found the defrag process caused this. I disabled it in the "Schedule Tasks" application. I'll defrag when I want to!!!!
After observing 100% CPU load occurring during idle states I found the "Memory Diagnostic" process caused this. I disabled it in the "Schedule Tasks" application. I'll run "Memory Diagnostics" when I want to!!!
After observing 100% Disk utilization during normal use I found the "Link State Power Management" process caused this. I disable it in the Dell Power Plan settings.
I also observed "Windows Defender" hogging the CPU and Disk. I left this alone and consider it a minor inconvenience for the safety it provides.
