How to remove back cover, Venue 10 Pro 5056

Have a Venue 10 Pro 5056 tablet and need to remove the back cover to replace battery and possibly upgrade SSD to a larger drive.  I can't find a service manual for this model.  I've found instructions for model 5055, but there is no t4 screw to remove in the right side of the 5056.  Venue 11 evidently just pops off.

I tried prying on a corner of the back cover to see if it popped off, but it doesn't seem to want to release easily.  I don't want to force it for concern that I'll damage the back cover.

Is there something I need to know about removing the back cover?
