Dell Venue Pro 11 (5130) unexpected shutdown due to shaking
Dear Dell,
I have just bought a Dell 11 (5130) with full update (newest version) from Dell and Microsoft. However, I still get this unpleasure issue:
No.1 : The tablet run perfectly if it is on the table, on standing case (I dont have any keyboard dock) ... However, just bring it up, or shake it, the tablet suddenly shut down.
Sometimes, I cant not turn the tablet on again (press power button and no boot up). I use AC power, the tablet on and battery is charging (90%). Then, break the AC Power, the tablet shut down suddenly. To turn it on by battery, I need to reopen/replace the battery.
----> I think this issue due to the connection (physical) between battery and tablet.
No.2 : The tablet stop charging when the battery reach 91% . However. in Dell Power Manager it show Battery #1 - 91%, battert Health Excellent, Battery setting : Standard.
This mean: after 2 months using, I lost 9% battery and never get 100% again ?
----------
I live in Vietnam, could I send my tablet to Dell Vietnam to get reparing ?
Thank so much for considering my case

Your batery is set to charge to 90%.
Go into bios there you can change it to 100%.

The shaking issue sounds like a battery connection problem, although I haven't heard of this on the 5130 before. Can you take the back cover off, power up the unit and then press and hold the battery in place and try moving the unit around to see if it still shuts off? You should probably also make sure that the battery is properly seated and there is no obvious damage to the blades or the connector on the tablet itself.
On the charging issue, can you flash to A06 BIOS and see if this resolves the issue? If you already have this, can you check to see if you have Dell Power Manager installed and let me know what your setting is?

thank you so much,
I solved the second problem by accessing bios (charged upto 100%)
and the first problem, exactly due to the battery connector (blades). because when i shake the table, the battery moves slightly then the table is shutdown suddenly. i tried to use some small pecies of paper to keep battery tightly in tablet. The problem is still happened (but better, longer time i can use)
Finally, I covered the blades by a thin layer or tin solder. then the issue is disappered.
thanks
