How do I turn off the keyboard clicking sound on a Dell Venue 8?

If its what i think it is, try this:

Go to settings.

Language and input.

Keyboard and input methods.

If google keyboard is your default, tap on the settings image.

Under General, there is an option called "Sound on keypress".

If checked, un check it and the sound will disappear.

Do you mean the soft clicking sound when you press keys on the virtual keyboard?  As far as I'm aware, it can't be disabled (apart from shutting the volume on the tablet off).  For whatever it's worth, it used to be louder--and some people have asked Microsoft to revert back (this is a Microsoft Windows 8 matter).
