Dell Venue 8 Pro Virtual Keyboard Does Not Appear After Upgrade From Windows 8.1 to Windows10
Regarding my Dell Venue 8 Pro, after recently upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, now when I go into Firefox or some other apps and click into an area where the virtual keyboard used to automatically pop up on the screen, it no longer does. Is there some setting that I am failing to turn on or off in order to correct this problem? Thank you.

I believe that there is a setting for automatic keyboard pop-up. Try a search on your tablet for the word keyboard or similar, and follow that to the setting.

Thank you for your response. There is a setting for a keyboard that I found previously, but it is a very different keyboard from the virtual keyboard that still pops up sometimes within Microsoft apps. Also, the keyboard that appears from the setting is very difficult to type on as the keys are very small and close together. It also does not pop up automatically, but rather it has to be reset each time. I know the "old" virtual keyboard still exists, because as I said, it does appear automatically when using Microsoft apps. Any other ideas? Thank you.

Not a solution but a work around. In action center, turn off tablet mode. this will put a keyboard icon on task bar. then tap keyboard icon each time u need it.
