Dell Venue 8 Pro USB-C
Hi, Can anyone advise on a solution or cable choice for the Venue 8 Pro (5855 model) please?..
I want to use my tablet with some music mixing equipment. The problem is I can't find a solution to transferring data and charging at the same time. The mixer has 2 usb ports; 1 x 5v 2100ma (usb-B) & 1 x usb-A (commonly know as a printer port). The former is used to charge while the latter is the data connection. The problem I have is there is only 1 usb-c connecter on the tablet and although I have read that the usb-c standard can simultaneously cope with charging and data, I have also read that the Venue Pro will only do one or the other.
To confuse matters further I believe that earlier Venues came with a single micro usb socket and people initially found a work around using several adapters prior to Dell bringing out a dongle coded 470 ABES.
What I'm after is a usb-c male that splits into 2 usb-b sockets that will allow me to charge via 1 'leg' whilst transferring data via the other 'leg'. (I can use adapters from there onwards.)
