Dell Venue 8 Pro and SanDisk OTG DualDrive?

To answer my own question and just in case someone else might be interested: I've got official word from SanDisk that the Venue 8 Pro should work just fine with their DualDrives of.up to 64GB. I'll quote the relevant part of their email: "I understand that you would like to know if the Ultra Dual flash drive could supports Dell Venue 8 Pro Windows 8.1 tablet. The answer is positive. It supports up to 64GB." (moderator - if there is one -: why can't I edit my posts and why is all formatting such as line spacing's, paragraphs lost after posting?)
