Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830 Recovery Partition
I have a DV8P, Windows 10 bricked the OS when I tried to revert it back to 8.1 Pro.
So far, this is the most help I've found:
I have built an 8.1 USB installer drive, but there is no option to boot it in the F12 menu. Secure boot is off, I am using the Dell Charger with the Dell USB Dongle, plugged into a Powered USB hub with a Logitech wireless KB/M.
Wandering around the BIOS, I found an option in the Boot Screen called "File Browser Add Boot Option" and a Web Search found this:
In the "SMFR" menu, I can find My USB disk, but I also found 4 partitions on the main hard drive of the unit, a small efi partition, an apparently empty partition, what looks like the normal c: drive, and the last partition has what appears to be the factory recovery or original installation partition. IF that is the case, what file do I point the boot option to so I can boot the recovery partition? Any option through windows is a no go, and I'm not sure if there is a secret button combo to trigger this another way...

I should add, I can see the UEFI:Flash option in the boot menu when the usb drive is plugged in before booting, but either selection results in windows 10 trying to recover to windows 8.1 and failing into an infinite boot loop.
Tried adding a 3rd boot option and pointing it at $boot in the root of the supposed recovery partition, no effect, still boot loops the windows recovery.
Here is another mention of Add boot option

But there was nothing to be done with it there, the recovery partition was too small.
