Dell Venue 8 3830 battery discharges from 100% to 0%

I have 2 dell venue 8 3830 tablets. For the last 6 months, one tablet will drain the battery from 100 or usually around 80% to 0 is a second. It is working fine then is just shuts off without power.

I have done factory reset and removed all apps.

I see other posts on this, does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks

Hi Davesdellforum,

Thanks for posting.

Apologies that your tablet system is not working as expected.

If you've had this system with the original battery for the last 3 or 4 years, then it's possible the battery has reached it's end of life.  Batteries normally last only about a year and a half.

Here is some information from the Dell Knowledge Base you may find helpful: http://dell.to/2hr02QJ

Dear Davesdellforum.

Did you get any solution to this? I also have the similar problem. It depletes from 100% to 0% in no time and shuts down. Next time its plugged in it recharges very quickly. Shutting time is also variable. Sometime it runs for an hour and sometime even less. Did replacing the battery help you? I don't think genuine battery of this model is available as the model itself is discontinued.

Thanks and warm wishes

I'm having the same battery problem with my Dell 3830 tablet.  Does anyone have any ideas how to get the battery replaced (if you can find one)?
