Dell Venue 5830 Audio not working

Hello,

I have had this tablet for a while and has been working great for the most part. I have been running windows 10 32 bit for quite a while now. A few months ago, I noticed that that audio has stopped working and the speaker icon on the right hand bottom systray shows a red cross. I have tried a) to update by getting to this site and asking it to suggest updates b) enable disable multiple times c) deleted the device and rebooted to see if it can detect . None this worked. Microsoft PC store close to me said try resetting the tablet and see. Would like to know if someone has a better answer before I try resetting.
