Dell PN5122W Pen not syncing well to my Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 Laptop

My new Dell Pen frequently freezes the cursor in one spot, doesn't move when prompted to, and freezes my computer in touch screen rather than mouse mode. Any solutions?
