D6000 Universal Dock is Breaking Monitors I Connect to It

I purchased a D6000 Universal Dock and two HP monitors. I attached the monitors via DisplayPort to the dock. Within a day, the second monitor would not connect to any device with DisplayPort. It seems to have completely fried the port on the monitor. I returned the monitor and purchased a new one, thinking this was a monitor issue. Within a day I have had the same issue on the new monitor.

I have confirmed that this is not a cable issue, or an issue with the DisplayPort on the dock not working. Something about the D6000 is frying or disabling the DisplayPort on monitors I attach to it.

Has anyone experienced this issue?
