Cant get PN556W Active Pen to work with Venue 8 Pro (5830)
I have a Dell Venue Pro 8 (5830) that is up to date with all updates and firmware revisions. I seem to pair the PN556W with the tablet via bluetooth but that's where my good luck ends. If I then double click the pen, it seems to bring up a pen menu of sorts, but nothing else about the stylus works.
I guess I am wondering if anyone out there has gotten this to work and if so, what am I missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi mickprue,
Thank you for reaching out to Dell Community Forum.
Do you have another system to use this stylus on? Was it working before?

I am having the same issue. I have the PN556w and 750-AAGN styli. 750-AAGN works on 5830 tablet, PN556W does not(even though both are listed as compatible for tablet.

The PN556w is not compatible with the older (before 2016) tablets. The newer tablets use Wacom tech and the older tablets use n-trig or synaptics.

I just ordered the pen, and it sort of works. I have paired it. I can push the top one note comes up, but won't do anything else. Am I missing something? I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830 and got the PN556W. Why is this pen listed as a compatible pen and then it does work? Can someone please offer some advice, please?
