Cannot change webcam resolution settings on Venue 11 Pro?

Is there any way to change the resolution settings of the built-in web-cam on a Venue 11 Pro tablet? We need to reduce the size of the pictures that are being taken, and there is no way that I can find in the system to do this. We have several Latitude 10 tablets, and they allow changing of the webcam resolution. I called Dell Tech support, but the technician couldn't find a way to change these settings either. He tried installing the Dell Webcam utility but it ended up disabling the camera and I had to do a system restore. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated! thank you!

Dell doesn't provide any information for the installed webcams which makes it impossible to find or to see if actual drivers are provided from the manufacture (they might even provide some kind of camera app to configure and take photos). Who knows?
Device manager only shows the default integrated webcam info and Microsoft drivers.
The default Windows 8 camera app is bare bone and doesn't provide enhanced settings.

You might want to try Cyberlink YouCam Mobile. Never tried it but I checked into it a while back and seen that resolution was one of the settings. Not sure if it's already in the free version or not.
Maybe other free camera apps have the settings as well.
Just check some out and you will see. :emotion-1:

Hmmm...a week since I posted this and 0 replies. Johnny Carson used to have a segment on the Tonight Show called "stump the band". He would go out in the audience and ask people to name the title of a certain song, and the Tonight Show band would try to play it. If the band couldn't play the song, the audience member got a prize. I guess I just "stumped the Dell forum!" I wonder what prize Dell will give me?

Thanks for the reply. I know it's not a total answer but at least it is some advice. I am going to try and see if I can find a good 3rd party app, but wanted to at least check first if there was some setting I was missing with regards to the Dell webcam. We are an electric motor repair shop. When a motor comes in, we want to start having the shop guys take pictures of incoming motors, and add them to the job folder on the network for that particular repair job. I need to limit the resolution of the pictures so that they don't have to transfer such large picture files to the network, and also to avoid filling up our server storage too quickly. Hence my need to adjust the webcam settings on the tablet. We are looking at deploying at least 20 of these tablets in our company.

Yeah I know. It's bad to find anything if we don't even know which cameras are in the system.

I found the info I was looking at for CyberLink

http://www.intowindows.com/cyberlink-youcam-best-camera-app-for-windows-8/

But again haven't tried it and not sure if the function is actually included or not. Or even supported.

Edit: and the funny part is that the Dell Venue 11 Pro Technical Guide says:

Videoconference online with an optional built-in camera (comes with Dell Webcam software pre-installed for camera setup)

There is no preinstalled Dell Webcam software.
