Active Stylus Version A02 a Winner
Got my version A02 stylus today. I think 3rd time's the charm and we finally have a winner. No hover clicks and no waiting forever for the table to recognize the stylus. No disconnects for long periods of time either. Time will tell...

Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, Dell still stubbornly has not issued out a manual and tech. specs on the stylus. Heaven knows why. Instead, to learn about the stylus, one needs to read posts in forums and to use and experiment. (There are a few pages about the stylus in the DV11P manual, if I recall correctly, but it's of limited information.)
As to turning the pen off: my understanding (based on experimentation) and from that of others, is that the stylus auto-offs after about 30-60 seconds, when the tip of the stylus is not within about 1/2-1 inch of the tablet's face. You can experiment to test this out, as I did--seeing if the hover indication appears. And so, no need to remove the battery. And to wake the stylus, tap the tip on the tablet's surface (or, possibly, you also can just press one of the stylus' buttons--I don't recall if that will do it).
Personally, I would prefer an actual on-off switch--why not have one on top of the stylus, just like a pen, or embed it into the buttons at the end of the stylus, when one of the buttons is pressed and held? Should be easy enough to do, it seems to me. But, in the meanwhile, it is what it is.

does the VP11P have a touchscreen firmware update available? I updated my VP8 and things did improve further. not perfect but better. Not working w/ the VP11P is odd so just check if there's a touchscreen firmware for VP11

I received my A02 a couple of days ago. I hadn't had a previous version, but I have seen videos of the A00 and A01 versions.
It seems reasonably good. I have noticed a few "phantom" strokes (think about a pen dripping ink) and lift-off strokes, particularly when writing a capital "T" and some other letters that require a lift-off.
Lower case "a" and "e" often leave a little trail of "ink" when the pen is lifted off the screen.

I received a new A02 stylus yesterday as a pro-active gift from Dell. Been using it for 2 days without an issue. It picks up every card in Solitaire and every Jigsaw puzzle piece during testing.
Thank you Dell for the unannounced replacement!!!!
