5290 2 in 1 travel keyboard touchpad not working

Hi,

The touchpad for the tablet mentioned above does not work no matter what i try. with charger connected/without charger connected ....i tried updating the bios and all drivers...same issue. Device manager shows the following msg:

unknown USB device (device Descriptor Request Failed)

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

please help....this issue is very annoying
