Warning but no Warning on battery across Systems Management
PowerEdge R230 running latest available BIOS and Firmware:
- Physically looks fine; iDRAC light is solid blue, LCD displays normal, not amber; all good.
- OMSA 10.x on the server shows all systems/components healthy.
- OMEnt shows Warning on battery health, specifically 'System Board Riser Presence'.
- iDRAC under 'Hardware Overview' shows a warning on 'Batteries'
- Click on the 'Batteries' warning and it shows only 'System Board CMOS Battery' which is green/good, so no warnings.
So far, I've reset iDRAC with no change. I then powered off the server and unplugged the power for several minutes. This did not clear the warning in OMEnt nor iDRAC. I've also deleted and rediscovered the device in OMEnt, but no change.
I'm wondering if this occurred after a recent BIOS and/or firmware update, but can't tell for sure.
Any thoughts on how to clear this?

Hello, you could try replacing the CMOS battery. Should you still face the issue, I’d say you can just ignore it- it does not affect running the service. Wish you a good one.

The system reports that the CMOS battery is good/healthy, so I'm disinclined to replace it.
I have a feeling the issue was caused by a recent firmware or BIOS update, and not an actual hardware issue. I'll keep an eye out for new updates.
