Updating Dell poweredge IDRAC R630 with racadm - possible via CLI ?

Could use your help on something, maybe I have missed something in my troubleshooting :)

I have to update the IDRAC version on several Dell Servers and want to update the firmware from the CentOs linux that I am running. It already has the racadm tool installed, however the ugprade through cli fails. I want to use CLI for installation, because it is less time intesive than logging onto every single idrac to upgrade it.
Here is what I tried after getting the idrac firmware
racadm update -f /root/firmimg.d7 Copying.. Transfering... Applying Update.... Depending on the file size this operation might take several minutes, do not interrupt the process. ERROR: RAC989: Unable to apply the firmimg.d7 firmware update. The file used for the operation is invalid. For the list of supported files, use "racadm help update". For the correct version of the file specific to the system, contact the service provider.
I have done a racreset and verified that my file works by installing it through the web access. Also, I have tried to use idracadm7 to install the package, but no dice.
My successsful upgrade through the web access was from 2.61.60.60 to 2.84.84.84
Has someone had such problems as well ?
