System Health in IDRAC
If I pull the power supply my System Health will generate an alert\alarm and turns red. But if I disable a NIC, pull a NIC cable from the server it will generate a log entry but my server health stays green. Is there something that needs to be enabled for the NIC to also generate an Unhealthy alert ?

Hi Can you change the SFP+ on rNDC #4 or just take out and see what happens? The port doesn’t seem to be recognized at the moment.

Removal of network cable will not bring the system health to Warning or Critical. This will only create LifeCycle Log. Removal of PSU will bring the overall health critical as there will be a redundancy lost for PSU.

so losing a network card\cable connection is not considered Critical ? Is there a way to make that type of event alert or send an snmp trap anyways just so someone is aware even if its labelled as Minor ? and thank you for the reply

iDRAC can create SNMP alert for NIC Link Up and Down events. You will get a warning alert for link down and information alert for Link Up. On Alert configuration page there will be a category for NIC there you can see Information and Warning alert configuration. You can configure SNMP for the same.
