Server Administrator - Refused to connect

I am logging in for the first time to an existing Dell server running Windows Server 2016. The server has been in production for years and other people supposedly have user Server Administrator. When I open https://:1311 get a "This site can't be reached - refused to connect".

I have restarted the DSM SA services. Windows firewall is turned off.  Have tried it in multiple browsers.

Not sure what else to check. Any ideas?

Thanks

Bob

Hello ciosys,

What do you get if you try one of these?

[actual Server IP]:1311  (instead of host name)

localhost:1311

127.0.0.1:1311

You may try a Repair install or uninstall and install updated version of OMSA for your server if the OMSA version you have is old.

I tried all of those to no avail. Will pass along the reinstall or upgrade.

Thanks

Hello ciosys,

Thank you got writing to Dell

As the OMSA is not installed/Configured by you, likelihood OMSA might be installed with non-default port or the service might be mapped with specify IP. Please check the followings

- Ensure OMSA connection service is running

- Run the below command to get the OMSA port number "omreport preferences attribute=getport"

- Run the below command to get the OMSA url "omreport preferences webserver attribute=geturl"

if there is change in port or url try with them

Hope this helps you.
