Secure Connect Gateway SAE-020219 Monitoring Failed to connect

Hi

So we've over seventy servers monitored used SCG forty five have suddenly gone off monitoring even though you can get collections etc. and they are setup correctly.  So we're setup to use the IDRAC's for this monitoring.

This is the error we're getting - this is an R440

SNMP has been setup

Resetting the idrac makes no difference - we have no firewalls inbetween the R440 and SCG.

I hit the configure SNMP button within the device on SCG and I get completed as the task status but still not monitoring the device!

Anyone offer some advice here as this is doing my head in, we always seem to get problems like this with SCG - we solve them by resetting the idrac or rebooting the SCG but this is consuming up more time than it's worth.

Hello Jam1e_G,

I want to confirm; Were these working then Monitoring capability failed?

If so; was anything done in Secure Connect Gateway that could have affected this?

I see you have iDRAC version 3.30.30.30. That is from Mar 2019 with many updates since then.

Lets start with updating to iDRAC 6.10.80.00 and check results

Hi Charles

Yes this has sorted this one out - quite strange really as this was monitoring just fine as were all the others until 3 days ago whereby they wen't off monitoring.

I shall get the firmwares updated on the others to see if this is the issue.

Cheers I appreciate you help there.
