Hi,
Check Dell Support Website: Visit Dell's official support website ( https://dell.to/46qQ34I ) select your needed downloads
Download the Latest Firmware: Download the latest versions of iDRAC and BIOS firmware that are compatible with your server model and Windows Server 2019 after this click on older versions and go back step by step to your installed version @step 3&4 you start with the oldest version and update every single downloaded version.
Backup Data: Before performing any firmware upgrades, ensure that you have a full backup of your important data to prevent data loss in case of unexpected issues during the upgrade process.
Upgrade iDRAC Firmware: a. Access the iDRAC interface for your server. b. Navigate to the "Update and Rollback" section. c. Upload and apply the iDRAC firmware update file you downloaded. d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware upgrade.
Upgrade BIOS Firmware: a. Depending on the Dell server model, you can update the BIOS using various methods, such as through the iDRAC interface or using the Dell Repository Manager (DRM). b. If updating through iDRAC, navigate to the "Update and Rollback" section, upload the BIOS firmware update file, and follow the on-screen instructions. c. If using DRM, create a bootable USB with the BIOS update file and apply the update following the instructions provided by Dell.
Reboot the Server: After updating both iDRAC and BIOS firmware, reboot the server to ensure that the updates are applied and functioning correctly.
Verify Firmware Versions: Access the iDRAC interface and BIOS to verify that the firmware versions have been updated to the latest versions.
Test Server Functionality: Thoroughly test the server to ensure that all components and features are functioning correctly after the firmware updates.
