iDRAC is unable to communicate with SSD
I have an issue with a 2U Dell EMC PowerEdge R740XD, it shows:
iDRAC is unable to successfully communicate with the device PCIe SSD in Slot 5 in Bay 1, because of one or more of the following reasons: device is incorrectly seated, iDRAC firmware error or device firmware error.
additional this is the same issue for some others slots and bays.
The server is brand new.
Could you help.

Hi @rcantonr,
Just to check, are the SSD installed containing DPN#? Can you provide us the DPN# of the drive having issue?
What is the currently iDRAC firmware level? Are they up to date?
What OS are you running on the server? What PERC is installed in the server? Can you let us know how many drive bays does the server have?
Have you tried resetting iDRAC?
Alternatively, if the server is newly bought, I may suggest to contact support to raise a ticket to analyze the logs and replace hardware in any needs to resolve the issue.
