How can I update FC HBA P/N QLE2694-T-DEL from firmware 8.03.05 to 9.15.01?
Dell Friends,
I have this Dell-branded quad-port FC HBA with part number QLE2694-T-DEL:
QLogic's qaucli tool tells me that it's running firmware version 8.03.05 (super old).
I'd like to update this to 9.15.01.
I also own several QLE2690-T-DEL cards (the single-port version of this same HBA). And I had no trouble updating their firmware levels to 9.15.01, using the Dell-provided tool (Fibre-Channel_Firmware_MTCFH_LN_17.05.10_A00.BIN) under Rocky Linux 10.
But with the QLE2694-T-DEL, this tool reports, "This Update Package is not compatible with your system configuration."
How can I bring my QLE2694-T-DEL's firmware up to date?
Thank you very much,
Rob Roy

Hello, this card is designed for STORAGE SC SC9000.
As far as I know, Dell tools check if platform is correct before updating it. You may try using iDRAC if you have a Dell server, and preferably R730 (hardware shared with SC9000)

The non-problematic single-port HBAs are actually P/N QLE2690L-DEL, not QLE2690-T-DEL.

Thank you DELL-Young E; that's very helpful to know.
Unfortunately I don't have an iDRAC-equipped Dell server right now.
Is there any other way to get the firmware updated on this card?
Thanks very much,
Rob Roy

Hello, I’m afraid I do not know another way for you to get it done- You already tried doing bin file from OS and it failed…
If you like, you can always raise a ticket to ask for a second opinion.
