FIPS Mode on Chassis Management Controllers (CMCs)

I noticed an option to enable FIPS mode on my Chassis Management Controllers. It has a warning that doing so "resets CMC to the default settings". I wanted to verify if this includes IP/Network settings? I assume so since it doesn't note otherwise, but that would also cause loss of connectivity to manage the system.
