DSU can download catalog, but not updates.
Hello,
I can't seem to figure out how to fix this problem:
I installed DSU 2.1.1.0 on Ubuntu 22.04. I run "dsu", and it downloads the catalog successfully, and presents the list of available updates.
But when I try to install the update, I get errors like the following:
Fetching Diagnostics_Application_CKTY5_LN64_4303A24_4303.24 ...The certificate chain is issued by a non trusted authority, or check the certificate parameters.
I found in the dsu users guide how to add a certificate, but I'm not sure where to get the certificate, nor where dsu is trying to connect to download the updates.
Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Usually the Trusted Root CA Certificate is generated by the OS itself and installed. This error happen when there is unsecure connection. Sometimes, certificate error can also be related to the OS time clock.
If you are unsure of how to generate CA certificate, I might suggest contacting the support to remote in and check the network properties.

What is the certificate I should install? I'm not sure where dsu is trying to connect to pull down files.
I couldn't find the urls of where the "dsu" app is trying to download these packages from. I did no configuration to dsu, so it must be trying to download from the default location.
Is the catalog and the packages stored on a different site? Why can I download the catalog but not the packages.

Hello, would you be able to check with the network team if they can whitelist the DSU communication with Dell servers?

This is just a server sitting in my home, that I own. My network is very standard, there is nothing blocked from going out, there is no need to whitelist things.
This is the most simple of use cases ever: I have a Dell server with a pretty much out of the box Ubuntu 22.04 install on it, and I then installed DSU, ran it with the command "dsu", got the list of things that should be installed, and then it fails when it tries to download the thing that it says it should be able to install.
Everything about using this app to try to update my server's firmware is using the default out of the box Dell configuration, and it doesn't work. Now I'd like to get it to work, and it seems like y'all would know how and where this app pulls files from and what certificates it would need to do so.

Hello, looks like all you need is to update firmware.
I could give you the workaround-use the idrac and online catalog. DSU is using the same catalogues.

Based on the file you put in the snippet you have a new server 15/16 gen

Again what I can share is the snippet from the knowledge article.
