Does Dell OpenManage Inventory Agent (for Dell Business Client Systems) sent data to Dell

I am not aware that DOIA can be used for Dell servers. I remember it being used in client products, but it's not my expertise. You rightly said, This is being used in client product as data provider for Microsoft WMI to inventory information for Dell supported devices. My base question is this data provider only send inventory data to SCCM server or send data to Dell as well?

It doesn't send any information to Dell, as with almost all the OpenManage products, it won't transmit anything without you configuring it to do so, or without prompting you beforehand. Now it can reach out to Dell to check fw versions and updates, but it doesn't transfer any data.

It's seemed I got my answer, However what configuration you are referring in your post?

I am going to use Dell OpenManage Inventory Agent (for Dell Business Client Systems) in SCCM to deploy this agent in Dell device to manage drivers and Bios updates.

Also is there any Dell official documentation where I can get low lever information about this? 

Hi, I'm afraid there's no document on this. There's no configuration on this as far as I know either.
