Dell Openmanage Enterprise - RAID Rebuild

Hi All.
Recently we had a power surge, It killed a drive in the server, degraded both raids and killed the monitor it was attached to.

The new drive has arrived, Its replaced the old one.
I'm now trying to work out:

1) Has the drive I've installed correctly mirrored and the data copy is complete?

2) How do I initiate the rebuild of the degraded array?

Every interface I've ever used for NAS's you can select the array and perform work on it by right clicking it.
All the websites I've found said you can either do this via the boot menu (Pre-OS)

Or you can do it from Openmanage.
I'm using the latest Openmanage Enterprise

I cannot for the life of me work out how I rebuild the array.

I open Openmanage Enterprise > Click Devices at the top > Click the Server > Click Hardware > Click Storage Controller > Expand the RAID Controller > and this is what I see

Openmanage RAID CONTROLLER

No options at all, To do anything...
At this point I cant find any information on what I should do next or if Openmanage Enterprise even supports this functionality.

Old Openmanage versions seem to but I can't find it here.

ChrisDM,

You can either boot to the H700 controller bios, or you can locate the option under the Virtual Disks, not the controllers, menu. Another option is to assign the replacement drive as a Global Hotspare and it should automatically kick off the rebuild. Also, normally the drive will start rebuilding upon inserting the replacement, but if not then you can assign the hotspare under the Physical Disks page, on the specific drive.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi All.
Just so this thread isn't left incomplete.

Inserting the drives would show that they were being recnognised (By the lights on the front) but neither degraded raid would rebuild by themselves.

In order to get everything to rebuild I had to go into the Pre-OS Raid screens (BIOS of Raid Card?) and manually select the drives that showed as "Yellow" (I think that was the colour, I'm colour blind) and then bring up a context menu and select to rebuild.

Both rebuilt overnight and worked without issue.

Thanks for the Help ChrisHawk.
