BIOS and firmware upgrade fail caused Vmware host not working
Hello
Today i tried to patch two Dell R640 server both of them BIOS-2.5.4 and iDRAC-4.10.10.10, I upgraded the 1st Dell server using the https method and upgrade was completed sucessfully without any problem my vmware is loading and all the VM's on the host is working fine.
Same method was applied on the 2nd machine and the upgrade failed giving me error of
PWR2270 | The Intel Management Engine has encountered a Health Event. |
Later this got stuck in the loop of as bellow
RAC0703 | Requested system hardreset.
CPU0000 | Internal error has occurred check for additional logs.
SYS1003 | System CPU Resetting.
RAC0703 | Requested system hardreset.
CPU0000 | Internal error has occurred check for additional logs. |
I did a soft reboot on the machine and then i got
UEFI0019 | Lifecycle Controller (LC) is unable to complete a requested task or function and prevented the boot process from completing on multiple attempts. LC is in Recovery Mode. |
Now the entire thing is stuck in the same loop as above also the virtual console is stuck in the same loop as this it would go initializing PCIe, USB and it would reboot again.
If someone has faced similar issue please assist on this
