What is the Best way to get Disk Part Numbers on Symmetrix ?
Via Cli ? or Via physical View ?

The EMC CE can run a disk hardware report from the service processor, which will generate full report of all installed disk with thier p/n and scsi code.
the above is one option... I'm not certain about CLI generating a report... I would have to look at the CLI product guide.

I checked the physical view and couldnt get the part number of disks from there
please tell me the exact way to do so

Hello Sami,
Your local EMC CE is trained to perform this task.
The CE can dial in remotely and run the task and email the report to you.
It is not a customer process.
I will review the CLI guide to see if I can find an alternative for you.

can you tell me what view does so
I need to view disks on symmetrix box in this format
for example 101-000-091 ..... etc

but I need the exact way first
tried the physical view but didnt see the part numbers

I know a way of getting the usable size and rpm of the disk through cli , but never got the trick to get part number though
