VMAX Do Child Initiator Groups inherit flag settings from Parent Initiator Groups?

I create a Parent Initiator Group for say, a Solaris cluster with 6 hosts in the cluster, and set the correct initiator flag settings for Solaris onto the Parent Initiator Group.

Now I create 6 Child Initiator Groups (one for each host in the cluster).

Now I add the 6 Child Initiator Groups into the Parent Initiator Group, and create a Masking View to present the devices to the cluster.

My question is, will the Child Initiator Groups inherit the settings from the Parent Initiator Group, or am I required to set Solaris initiator flag settings onto each Child Initiator Group also? If possible if this could be referenced from documentation that would be appreciated (I've looked around and not found an answer on this point). Many thanks.

See the https://support.emc.com/kb/70247

"Port flags set on an IG affect the initiator addresses in the IG only.  Children IGs are NOT affected.   The port flags can be different in the parent and the child IGs with the only exception being the Volume_Set_Addressing (V) flag.  This flag must be set the same in both the parent and child.  Refer to KB article 68218 for more information about the Volume_Set_Addressing (V) flag.

A consistent lun can be set at the IG level only. The consistent lun flag can't be set to an IG which has a child or which is a child,ie it cannot be set to an IG when it is in cascaded relationship. For a cascaded relationship it has to be first set on the individual IGs and then the IG can go in the cascaded relationship"

BTW, Please consider moving this question as-is to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right.  Then search for and select: "Symmetrix Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.
