syslog and snmp traps on vmax
Is there a difference between data captured thru syslog versus snmp traps?
If so, can someone break it down for me?
Also, how do I read syslog message(s) from a vmax frame?

syslog: use the syslog wire protocol to forward event records to a remote syslog server, i.e., an RSA enVision server.
snmp: forward event records to a remote SNMP listener. Solutions Enabler only supports SNMP version 1 traps.
They both are generated by Solutions Enabler event daemon (storevntd). The main difference is target
