symclone restore parameters

Need help crafting symclone restore parameters.

1) Our initial setup of symclone is:  symclone -d create -precopy -differential -exact -tgt -nop

2) To active initially                        symclone -d activate -tgt -nop

Daily routine for symclone is as follows

3)  symclone recreate -d -precopy -tgt -nop

4)  symclone activate -d -tgt -nop

My understanding is that you restore while in activate mode.

My understading is that you can perform a differential restore.

what parameters do I need for the symclone restore procedure

do I need in case I need to restore from the target volumes?

yes, your symclone has to be in activated state, and the actual device state should be "Copied". The command to restore is:

symclone -g restore

after restore is complete you will need to run "symclone split" to be able to run "symclone recreate" again.

Do I have to append any other operands such as -tgt,  or will the command automatically pick all the target device for the restore?

sorry, i don't remember if you have to use -tgt for restore ...i typically use device files for clone operations. That should be easy to test though with a pair of un-used devices.
