SRDF Configuration
Hi,
Trying to create a dynamic RDF group between 2 arrays and getting following error msg :
E:\Program Files\IBM>symrdf addgrp -label 1234-5678 -fibre -sid 000190101234 -rdfg 50 -dir 7d,10d -remote_sid 000190105678 -remote
_dir 8d,9d -remote_rdfg 50
Execute a Dynamic RDF Addgrp operation for group
'1234-5678' on Symm: 000190101234 (y/ ) ? y
The remote symmetrix specified for the dynamic RDF group operation was not found.
Anybody ever received this error before ?

double check your zoning, make sure 7d on 1234 is zoned to 8d on 5678 ...and so on.

the zonings seems to be correct and the RA adapters are logged in and online too.

one KB mentions taking RAs offline and then back online, are these RAs connected to any other arrays?

the RA adapters on the remote array were used for SRDF migration and is paired to another array too

Run
symsan list -sanrdf -sid 1234 -dir all
to check connectivity (SE7.6 and newer)

we have SE 7.2 installed , isnt there a cmd on below versions to chk the connectivity ?

Try to run the command and pair only one set of directors you can then add the second set with a second command.
