Sizing Solution enabler server
Hi All,
We have a very big environment comprising 100 Symmetrix DMX & VMAX storages. On couple of Solution enabler servers we are facing performance issues.
Just wanted to know about CPU & Memory requirement for solution enabler server based on number of storages managed.
We have AIX and Solaris servers used as solutionenabler server.
I have tried searching powerlink for information however could not see the information available on powerlink site.

Hi,
You can check Solution Enabler Installation Guide for pre-requisites and system requirements.

Thanks

I dont think there is such prerequisite for SE server except the disk requirement (as mentioned in the installation guide). I believe if a server is powerful enough to run the OS then it should be good enough to run the Solution Enabler also.

If we are managing more storages the symapi takes up lot of Memory . Eventhought EMC has not published any sizing information , however it is critical for managing large environment.

The installation guide just talks about Minimum requirement for VMware ESX server . However it does not talk about Large environment.
