Maximum Size of a ThinPool, and max size of thin devices in thin pool

I am having a heck of a time trying to find the answer to the above question.

I am wondering what the maximum size a Thin Pool can be, my first guess, no limit. As for the Thin Devices that are bound to the Thin pool, wondering what the maximum size is there.

I havent had much luck searching....

you could extend an existing pool with new tdat's (try to keep the same size) and rebalance it after the fact.

I undersized a thinpool at 6TB and just want to recreate it at 10TB, present a single Thin Device LUN to the host so it sees a single10TB LUN in disk management, but i only need about 7TB on the backend.

I could thick provision it, but adding more data devices to a thin pool is way easier...

ok, i saw that one early, but the actual pool size can be whatever, for example i have a 14TB VMware Thinpool, with 300 Data devices (40GB hypers or ) and 32 Thin Devices at 500GB each (what is presented to the host) havent had a problem with this setup at all.

Now i want to create a 10TB thinpool with only 1 Thin Device made up of x amount of data devices on the backend... not sure i can do this.

The host doesnt care what size lun i present to it, just wanna make sure i dont muck up the symm

are you trying to segregate workloads, hence new pool ? I mean once you have the pool build, you can create tdevs (up to 240G) , create a meta and bind it to a pool.

You can create one 10TB thin device, but it would have to be a meta because the largest TDEV you can create is 240GB
