How to start BCVs?
Okay, I'm gonna sound like an idiot, but this whole EMC environment was dumped on me with very little knowledge transfer from our previous disgruntled Unix admin.
Basically we had a server go down over the weekend and I was able to bring it back up with all of the DMX shares and whatnot. Then I got a call from our Oracle DBA who said "the BCV's aren't online". I was like "um, okay..". So basically I just some quick step advice on how to bring the BCVs back online to the server.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Don't really know anything about BCVs, but this time it turns out the previous admin had some shell scripts to do the task at hand (split the BCVs). Once I ran his split script, the BCVs showed up on the server.
Thanks anyway though! I know you woulda helped me well dynamox.
