How to reset application registrations on VMAX?
Hello,
To get the list of application registrations on VMAX I run symcfg list -app. How do I reset the registrations in order to force applications to re register?

As far as I am aware there is no way to do this from SYMCLI. There is a command/operation that PSE can run on the Service Processor of the VMAX to do so though. You would need to engage either support or PSE for this.

There is a command available that can be run using CLI, but this command remains internal to EMC.
You will need to engage support/PSE to run this on the Service processor.

EMC tech showed me the command a while back using SYMCLI. It basically clears the current registrations in DB. I forgot what the command is. So I was hoping that someone else knows.

Check out emc263091, If you have internal Access you can view the command...It can also be run from a management host.

No that article does not mention the command. it only speaks about the error in the SYMAPI log

Ah interesting. I only know the operation that is run on the service processor which essentially just re-initializes the database. Would definitely like to know the SE command

well there is a command to reset app registration table. however, EMC does not recommend it to be run by the customers. If you are facing an issue where the table needs to be cleared, please open a ticket with support and they will clear it from the service processor.
It can be done through Solution enabler but must be run under Support rep guidance.
