How to convert a single TDEV to a Meta
Hi,
How can I convert an existing single 200GB TDEV (preallocated) to a 4-way striped 200GB metaLUN TDEV (preallocated) while preserving the production data. VMax 5875.198.148 (SE 7.2.x)
I have thought about converting it to concat, then convert to striped while protected, but it will require me to expand my device. I also thought I could use symmigrate, but I do not think it is meant for this purpose.
It looks like TF is the only way to go, but you might know some other tricks. It will be perfect if it can be done online.
Please help.
Thank you!

Thank you very much. Too bad there is no equivalent to VNX LUN migration.

Both VLM and FAST should be independant
FAST makes use of the VLM, but not the other way around ..
