Are you attempting to form a striped or concatenated meta? If the volume is mapped you cannot form it into a striped meta as this would destroy the data on the device. If you're planning to make this device into a striped meta you'll want to back it up to another device using something like TimeFinder/Clone and then form the meta and restore the data back to it.

In that case what is the error you're getting? And what are the versions of SE and microcode?

Why concatenated and not striped?

There are very specific restrictions based on SE version. We need to be more specific than just 7. For example 7.3.2.2. The issue is probably the version of SE or the microcode version doesn't allow you to form a meta on the fly.
Have a look at the following document on powerlink. Be sure to download the version that corresponds to the version of SE being run.

Looks like you do not meet the Ucode requirement. It needs SE 7.2 + Enginuity 5875 for a device to be formed as a concatenated meta while its mapped and masked to a host.
Check Primus article emc288207 that documents the same. Hope this helped.
Regards.
