DMX Mid panel - Is it single point of failure hardware ?

In DMX, we have Mid panel, Do we have redudant for this?

If no, What if the mid panel is failed?

I think you mean the backplane that connects all the boards together.  There is only one.

However any one connection on it won't cause overall system failure.

That is like saying the whole box isn't a single point of failure, it is.  If a water pipe above the system bursts and floods the system with water, it will fail.

Unlike a motherboard, the midplane does not have active components, so it is not like a motherboard failure in a server.

Could you please explain more about it.

If the panel is just a single, then there is chance of failure isnt? like the mother board in the server where connects everything which is redudant, however the mother board is single and if that fails then the whole system is down.

I feel the mid panel is something like that isnt ?
