BCV licence question

you need TimeFinder/Clone license, to view host based license

symlmf list -type se -summary

to view array level licenses (enginuity 75+)

symlmf list -type emclm  -sid 123

How to add TimeFinder/Clone licence if we have licence key

either by 'symlmf ' or by 'symlmf add' command...?

and am unable to get output of "symlmf  -type se list" and " symlmf list -type se -summary".

symlmf .

If you are experience difficulties via command line to get the licence output go to C:\Program Files\EMC\SYMAPI\config and find the symapi_licenses.dat.

Inside there you will find what licences have you installed.

If you have the license key, please key in the 16 digit key

# symlmf

To view the licenses available on the host you can give the command # symlmf list

With newer version of SE, the command to list the license is as provided by dynamox before.

Between you can let us know the SE version(symcli), Enguinity version (symcfg list) and the error you are getting while applying the license to help you further.

To delete SE license -

> symlmf  add -type se -license

> symlmf  delete -type se -license

** Elicense (5875 and above)

> symlmf  delete -type emclm -feature -sid [-hostid ]

How to remove any licence temporarily.....?

HI,

Just want to clarify that the licenses could not be removed "temporarily". It could either be deleted or added. So if you wish to delete the licenses, make sure you keep the .lic file (in 5875) or the key in some safe place before deleting it.
