Transferring Memory Cards

In the past, I was able to put a memory card in the memory card slot, to transfer photos and videos on the computer, then transfer to a extended memory device.   Now can not transfer a memory card to the computer.

Hi Bi62Gn34uo:

Please post back and let us know your Dell computer model and Windows operating system (if Win 10 or Win 11 include the version and build shown at Settings | System | About Windows specifications).  It's important to always include this information when you request assistance in this forum so other users can tailor their advice to your particular problem.  It would also be helpful if you could provide more details about your "extended memory device".

Could you also clarify what you are trying to do. For example, are your photo and video files currently on another device (e.g., an Apple iOS or Android smart phone) and if so are you trying to use the SD card to transfer these files to your computer? Or do you mean that your photo and video files are already on your Dell computer and you are try to copy or move them to a SD card, an external USB backup drive or some other external device? The more details you can provide the easier it will be for others to give relevant feedback.

Also note that you've posted your question in the Dell SupportAssist for Home PCs board of this forum where users normally request help with their Dell SupportAssist software. Once we know your Dell computer model and Windows OS we may be able to direct you to another board in the forum where someone might be able to better assist you.
