Hi spdbeach:
What is your Dell computer model, Windows operating system [if WIn 10 or Win 11 open a Run dialog box (Windows key + R) and enter winver to find the version and OS build number] and BIOS version? To find your current BIOS version open a Run dialog box, enter msinfo32 to open your System Information, and look for the field named "BIOS Version / Date" in the summary.
There have been ongoing problems with SupportAssist v4.x since v4.0.0 was first released in March 2024. See my 08-Feb-2025 post in ygil's BSOD issues after Windows Updates explaining why I removed all SupportAssist-related software from my Inspiron 5584 after my Dell service warranty expired.
I noted in ygil's topic that I was using the Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.4.0 app recommended on my Inspiron 5584 support page to check for available updates for my Dell software and hardware drivers. However, there have been major changes made to the latest v5.5.0 of Dell Update, and it looks like I'll be uninstalling that app as well if no one from Dell responds to the concerns I raised in my 05-Apr-2025 topic Dell Update v5.5.0 (rel. 01-Apr-2025) Installs Unnecessary Bloat. ---------- Dell Inspiron 15 5584 * 64-bit Win 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.5737 * Firefox v137.0.1 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.25030.2-1.1.25030.1 * Malwarebytes Premium v5.2.10.182-130.0.5212 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.7783 * Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.5.0 * My Dell v2.2.6.0 * Fusion Service 2.2.14.0

Hi spdbeach:
Am I correct that OS build 26120.3862 is a BETA version of Win 11 v24H2 installed by KB5055613 (rel. 11-Apr-2025) and if so did you deliberately enroll in the BETA release channel of the Windows Insider Program to test preview builds of Win 11?
If the service warranty for your Dell G7 17 7790 as not expired yet you can contact Dell customer support by clicking the blue Get Help Now button in the bottom-right corner of each page on the forum to start a Live Chat. After you type in your question an automated chat bot will ask for your email address and the unique Service Tag of your Dell computer. Once it confirms you still have a valid service warranty it should connect you to a live customer service rep.
However, I suspect Dell customer support will tell you that they cannot assure their Dell software is compatible with Windows Insider preview builds of Windows 11.
My only other suggestion is that you try a clean reinstall of SupportAssist as instructed in employee DELL-Nat M's 24-Dec-2024 post in MichaelInParis's Any way to reduce the size of the DTPDB.DB file? just in case any remnants of previous SupportAssist versions are causing a conflict with your OS. A companion YouTube video is posted at Dell SupportAssist Clean Reinstall that shows how to run the Microsoft Install or Uninstall troubleshooter to remove remnants of SupportAssist off your system that are often left behind by a "normal" uninstall from Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features.
