SupportAssist x64 Old versions
Unlike other applications there is currently no option to install SupportAssist x64 Old versions when it automatically pushed out new update version that does not work.
There are reports of the new SupportAssist x64 version failing to undertake Hardware Scan Result (Manual). SupportAssist for PCs - Dell Community which then prevents system support's Diagnostic Full Test, etc. from being undertaken.
Seemingly Dell wants SupportAssist to increase its role within many diagnostic features. However, becoming 100% reliant on the Dell SupportAssist application, imposes the strategic imperative that SupportAssist is fully functional all of the time.
Is there going to be a fix/solution for users to install known SupportAssist version that works?

The unstable SupportAssist v3.12.3.5 has been automatically pushed and installed but is unable to scan hardware. Consequently, the Alienware 17 R5 webpage product support (1) Diagnostics, and (2) Let Dell automatically find driver updates, (3) BIOS/UEFI's POST, Diagnostics ePSA features, and other support functions that use SupportAssist, do not work.
Dell does not provide access to any of the Old versions and/or New stable versions of SupportAssist. There is no Dell diagnostic report or feedback that the pushed SupportAssist version is unstable and fundamentally flawed (does not work).
Dell Technical Support does not provide Alienware 17 R5 interim fix or permanent solution for unstable versions of their Dell SupportAssist application.
