Are you using these Latitude 5440 laptops in a business environment, and could you please confirm the version numbers of Dell SupportAssist and Dell SupportAssist Remediation (also known as Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery or System Repair) shown at Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features for your affected computers?

I uninstalled Dell SupportAssist and Dell SupportAssist Remediation from my Inspiron 5584 earlier this year but the release notes for Dell SupportAssist for Home PCs at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/dell-supportassist-pcs-tablets/docs indicates home consumers should have Dell SupportAssist v3.13.2 (rel. Oct 2023) or higher, and I believe v3.13.4 is the current version.  The latest version number for the the SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools is not shown at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/product-support/product/support-assist-os-recovery/docs but I believe the version number for home computers should be at least v5.5.7.18773 (rel. July 2023) or higher.

If your Latitude 5440s came with SupportAssist for Business PCs the release notes at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/supportassist-business-pcs/docs indicate you should have v3.5.0.46197 (rel. Oct 2023) or higher. Note that there is also a separate board in this Dell community for SupportAssist Enterprise at https://www.dell.com/community/en/categories/supportassist-enterprise.
