Supportassist not working
I am trying to remove all traces of supportassist so I can do a clean install and so far no luck. Supportassist installer just sits there and does nothing. I've installed every .NET framework mentioned in support threads as well as cleared out the ProgramData etc folders. I am honestly out of ideas, this software is garbage, please update it or provide .msi link (other thread links are broken).

What is your Dell computer model and Windows operating system (including the version and OS build number)?
I'm not qualified to interpret errors in installation logs, but see my 09-Nov-2024 post *** in ByeAbhay65's Support Assist Not Downloading, Possibly Corrupted about clean reinstall instructions for SupportAssist and known issues with the current SupportAssist v4.0.3. Also note that the current SupportAssist v4.0.3 requires Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime version 6.0.x, which reached end-of-support on 12-Nov-2024.
Before trying another clean reinstall of the buggy SupportAssist v4.0.3 please see employee DELL-Nat M's 19-Nov-2024 post in jmarsh09's Update Not Working On Support Assist which states in part that "Dell’s engineering team is working on a new SA version. We’ll provide more information as soon as it’s available." The release notes for the upcoming Nov 2024 SupportAssist update have already been posted at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/dell-supportassist-pcs-tablets/docs and the system requirements <here> state this next version will require Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime version 8.0.x.
I'd advise you just wait for the "official" release of the next version before trying another clean reinstall, given all the problems with the current SupportAssist v4.0.3

Just an FYI that Dell is starting to push out a new SupportAssist v4.6.2.
If you want to test the latest SupportAssist v4.6.2 I'd suggest you uninstall v4.0.3 and try the download link at Explore SupportAssist for Home PCs that employee DELL-Nat M provided in their 04-Dec-2024 post in Stanan's Support Assist Hangs. The required Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime v8.0.x should be installed by that SupportAssist installer (SupportAssistInstaller.exe) if it is currently missing from your system.
Be warned, though, that SupportAssist v4.6.2 is not working correctly for everyone. For example, see Rockface's 03-Dc-2024 topic supportassist issue. Rockface's problem computer has a Win 11 v24H2 OS, which might be relevant, since SA v4.6.2 seems to run normally on their Win 10 machine.

Employee @DELL-Nat M has asked anyone still having problems with the new SupportAssist v4.6.2 (rel. 04-Dec-2024) to post feedback in Stanan's topic Support Assist Hangs. I'd suggest trying that, since that might be your best chance of getting the attention of someone at Dell. If your service warranty has not expired yet you could also start a support request by clicking the blue "Get Help Now" button at the bottom-right of this forum page to start a live chat with a support rep.
If you do post in Stanan's topic be sure you include your Dell computer model and Windows OS version / build. I doubt it's a coincidence that many early testers reporting issues with the new SupportAssist v4.6.2 also have a Win 11 v24H2 OS.
