SupportAssist 40% CPU
I love my Inspiron 7506 2-in-1. Until recently I have been full of praise for the quality of this laptop and Dell Support in general, even advising others to purchase Dell.
However, as a user of SupportAssist I recently found that Dell.TechHub.DataManager.SubAgent.exe was taking 40% of my CPU. Browsing this and other non-Dell forums it appears that there is a real issue with this product.
I called Dell and they wished to charge me £48, I declined. Instead by logging in with an admin account I uninstalled SupportAssist and also renamed all of the Dell executables that consumed large amounts of CPU on startup.
Now I have a laptop which does not sound like a swarm of drones.
But I have to say I am very very disappointed with Dell Support.

Hi andyksfb96d9:
Please read my 22-Aug-2025 post in albgen's Dell.TechHub.Instrumentation.SubAgent and Dell.TechHub.DataManager.SubAgent are consuming the whole system resources and post back here with as much of the information requested in that post (e.g., your Windows OS, SupportAssist version, etc.) as possible.
I've seen multiple topics posted in this SupportAssist for PCs board in the past few days from users reporting high CPU and RAM consumption by Dell TechHub components. For now I'm assuming this problem occurs when SupportAssist tries to run a background diagnostic scan of their hardware.
